7 Eclectic Confessions
1) My Inspiration Journal I've been working on is totally amazing. I love it so much. It's filled with anything that I find remotely inspirational, which is presently quotes, song lyrics, and a certain prayer I learned recently.
2) Apples. I think I've eaten more apples than any person on the face of the Earth should in the past week or so. I may have developed a new disease, Appleitis. Watch out world it could still be contagious.
3) I have an irrational fear of soup. There is not technical name for this, which I find slightly irritating, but oh well I can name it myself then! So I have... Soupolaphobia
4. I really want to name my guitar in my room that I have yet to learn how to play, but I can't decide its gender. Plus, I also hate spending a long time thinking about names, just GO WITH YOUR GUT. Those are the best named things anywhoo
5) I recently bought the greatest sippy cup ever. His name if Fauez which is Lebanese for something and he is 110 percent amazing.
6) I would never wish to read people's minds.
7) I think I meow like a cat too much. Other people are starting to do it now, and I want it to be known RIGHT HERE that I, BRIDGET K. MCNIFF, was the original meow-er.
Well, doo-dah-doo, life's good. Gonna ride out on some Neon Trees and probably rescue some pets with Barbie.
PS. IF ANYONE READS THIS, YOU SHOULD REALLY COME TO TARTUFFE TOMORROW AT 2 AT WHS. It's amazing, the cast has worked so diligently, and it's a truly wonderful and funny performance! We'd love to have you! Help us close out a truly unforgettable show!

Song on a Saturday Afternoon
She stands there, small and strong
Laughing and joking,
got everybody singing along
Bet you'd never, yes
I bet you'd never guess
that there's something wrong
Cause when she gets home the walls crumble,
her perfect image is lost in the jumble
She tries to speak out, but unlike before
nobody here hears her voice over
the screams and roars
No, life it just ain't easy
but she never expected it to be
She'll never tell ya
doesn't want any sympathy
The only problem is that now
she's drowning in serenity
Always the rock, she'll answer any call
Miss 110 percent, they know she'll always give it her all
Loves her life, well most of the time
Lately it seems it's all been reason and
no rhyme
No life it just ain't easy
but she never asked it to be
She'll never tell ya doesn't want any sympathy
The only problem is that
now she's drowning in serenity
And now she's screaming as loud as she can
Everything's broken
Nothing's been spoken
It's all out of her hands
Her world is spinning while
everybody thinks she's still winning
But when she looks in the mirror all she sees
are imperfections and fears
So much noise
and still nobody hears
No life it just ain't easy
but she never expected it to be
She'll never tell ya that she's
drowning in serenity

7 Eclectic Confessions ~
Deriving ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources ~ aka story of my life
1) I'm OBSESSED with my new room.
It has layers of personality, just like I think that I do! Zebra sheets, orchid walls...I mean actually now it sounds incredibly awkward here but I swear it looks amazing
2) I think Lady Gaga writes some of the most eccentric yet
remarkably touching and truthful lyrics ever.
Don't believe me? Check her new song, Born This Way: http://www.metrolyrics.com/born-this-way-lyrics-lady-gaga.html Soon to be released! "Sometimes I find my head spinning. Not because of alcohol, but because of my life." ~Lady Gaga
3) I'm starting to get excited about college.
I'm still panicking about the future, but a large part of me is preparing and feeling excited for what's to come!
4) I think Caribou's hot chocolate makes me crazier than normal.
It keeps me up way later than normal and gives me the strangest dreams...and yeah I know that most people drink some o' those coffee drinks, but no. Definitely not me. Coffee = disgust.
5) I'm pretty sure I was born in the wrong generation.
Yeah. I dunno but my old soul longs for the classier age! Don't get me wrong, I do love many things about the 21st century, but certain things I just miss about previous eras.
6) Someday I'm going to own a house in Grand Marais.
Grand Marais is literally my dream town. I won't live there permanently, but it will be my escape. From Ben Franklin and Sven and Ole's, to The Trading Post and Artist's Point, my soul is literally in heaven there. That week of my summer has never been beaten yet.
7) Lights. I love lights.
I love lights and I want them everywhere in my room. I've always had those glow stars on my ceiling, but I'm gonna get more to add up there so my universe will be complete! I also would really like some lanterns and twinkly lights to add. I wish my parents were cool with candles in my room, cause then I would totally have them but I kinda blew that option when I had a certain lamp incident as a child. Yeesh.
Well, if you read all 7 of these (my favorite number) you might have learned some stuff about me! These are all things on my mind tonight, and it seemed like fun to slap 'em on here. Happy Saturday...here's to an early Tartuffe rehearsal!

Here we Go
I think I just found my spring solo piano/voice piece
Bluebird by Sara Bareilles!
I adore her voice and this song just seems pretty reminiscent of my life..bahaha
AND who doesn't love birds? And the color blue? And birds that are blue?
Well those are the bee's knees.
Now I just gotta clear it and find another piece for Kasey and I...
Lemme know if anybody has any suggestions...
But in the meantime, check out Bluebird if you've never heard it
For those lazies out there, I'll post a link here

Me and My Monkey
Do you ever wonder if what you do today will be important in the future?
I do.
Is it actually worth it for me to struggle through another late night? Manage relationships?
In the future will anyone remember me?
Or will I be like the memories of relatives I've lost?
Disappearing and fading so I only have bits and pieces of recollections left
It's not that I'm just afraid of the future, but I'm also terrified of being forgotten
To not have anyone care that I'm gone or missing as the world keeps on spinning
I guess what I'm saying is that I don't want to live my life by the day, but by the second
by the moment, by each breathe I take
Cause maybe in that brief elapse of time, I can do something worth remembering
